Wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year.
The CAT result has already been published. Congratulations to those who have performed well.Those who could not score well should not get disheartened. A low CAT score is not always a reflection of the intelligence level. By now you have assessed your chances for getting invitations for GD and PI in your dream institutions. Many of you must be evaluating various institutions to short-list those where you would like to pursue your MBA programme. I would like to advise that while shortlisting institutions, you should focus on three factors:

1. Faculty quality and strength
2. Academic rigor, and
3. Placement

 Most management graduates do not stick to the company that they join from the campus. Many, who get an enviable placement from the campus, do not achieve success in their career. Only those who take advantage of learning opportunities during their two years stay in the Business-school, succeed in life. Therefore, it is inappropriate to focus solely on the placement record of an institution.
In short-listing candidates for personal interviews for admission in our AICTE-approved PGDM programme, we give significant weight to academic performance. We invite all academically brilliant candidates ignoring their CAT performance. Generallyour CAT cut-off would be 60 percentile.
